After a mental breakdown on the stage, a world-famous concert pianist named Sophia vows never to return to performing again. When her manager tells her that the public and music world will write their own version of her legacy and what happened to her, Sophia is persuaded to perform one last concert of five different composers in order to prove all her critics wrong and take her "story" into her own hands. As she enters the stage riddled with fear, she discovers that the pain from her past is actually like a superpower that makes her "live the music" more vividly.  As a result, Sophia learns things about herself that were previously hidden which ultimately sets her free.
